RESPONSIBILITIES

• To provide a high level of public safety and follow all safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe clean work area at all times.
• Provide a level of customer service that satisfies client's needs for cleanliness and trust.
• Provide a level efficiency that would apply to all aspects of the trade.
• To be capable of communicating effectively with customers, coworkers, site foremen, office staff on a daily basis in English.

SPECIFIC SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Completion of grade 12.
• To hold a BC Gold or Red Seal carpenters trade certificate or equivalent experience.
• To have a minimum of 5 years' experience in construction, services or envelope renovations.
• To hold a valid B.C. driver's license and driver's abstract if required.
• To hold a valid level 1 first aid ticket.
• Trained in WHIMIS, MSDS and fall protection.
• Clean criminal record.

DUTIES

• To ensure site employees and sub-trades are following all safety procedures and company rules.
• To schedule all components of work in the most efficient manner.
• To estimate and order materials required without any downtime.
• To document existing damages to differ responsibilities.
• To construct, repair, restore and install structural wood work and related materials.
• Shape and cut materials to specific measurements using hand tools machines and power tools.
• Verify trueness of structure using plumb bobs, levels, builders and laser levels.
• Follow direction from blueprints, sketches and plans.
• Be capable to calculate materials accurately to minimize waste.
• Safely operate power tools related to carpentry and construction.
• To work in a dirty or dusty environment, extreme temperatures and intense noise are inherent to the position.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects
